Antonio Bártolo
Nasceu em Angola, em 1962.
Vive actualmente em Torres Vedras.
Artista plástico autodidata. A sua obra é essencialmente dedicada à aguarela.
Em 1998 fez a sua primeira exposição individual. Desde então, participou em inúmeras exposições colectivas e individuais em Portugal e no estrangeiro.
Curador do Encontro Internacional de Aguarela de Santa Cruz, do International Watercolour Meetingo of Caldas da Rainha e do 1º Festival Internacional de Aguarela - IWS Portugal.
A par da sua carreira artística, orienta pequenos cursos e aulas de aguarela. É sócio fundaddor da AAPOR - Associação de Aguarela de Portugal.
Representado em várias coleções públicas e particulares em Portugal e no estrangeiro.
"Para mim pintar é uma necessidade. Eu necessito de exprimir as minhas emoções através da pintura. Eu sou um apaixonado pela vida e pela natureza e daí vem a minha inspiração. A aguarela é uma técnica perfeita para o que procuro alcançar através da Arte. É subtil, delicada, mas também surpreendente e rebelde."
António was born in Angola in 1962,
but lives currently in Torres Vedras.
He's a self-taught fine artist. António's work is essentially dedicated to watercolour.
In 1998 he made his first individual exhibition. Since then he participated in several national and international collective exhibitions.
Curator of three events, being them the International Meeting of Watercolour of Santa Cruz, The International Watercolour Meeting of Caldas da Rainha, and the 1st International Festival of Watercolour - IWS Portugal.
Bisades his career, he tutors small watercolours workshops and classes. António's also founding member of AAPOR - Associação de Aguarela de Portugal (Watercolour Association of Portugal).
He's work is represented in several public and particular collections, in Portugal and Abroad.
"For me to paint is a need. I need to express my emotions though painting. I'm in love with life, with nature and that's where my inspiration comes from. Watercolour is the perfect technique for what I look to achieve through art. It's subtle, delicate but it's also surprisingly and rebel."
